Visit Hudson
At the shop, we’re always asked for recommendations for local spots—so we thought we’d compile some from our team here! Whether you’re coming for the weekend or have newly relocated here, we hope this list gives you some ideas for spending time in the area, beyond your trip to MINNA ;)
But be warned: things are slow in the Hudson Valley in the middle of the week. Many places are closed, especially on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Be sure to check updated schedules and hours ahead of time!

For lunch or dinner close to MINNA:
Talbott and Arding
A cheese lover’s paradise! Grab a bite for lunch (highly recommend the foccacia grilled cheese with apple chutney) and take home gourmet groceries for later. Super friendly staff that can help you with dietary restrictions in a snap! -Sam
Lil Deb's Oasis
A cool artsy-vibe with amazing food and drinks! I have always felt welcomed and safe by the space created for the local community and visitors from afar. -Brian
Bodega Aguila Real
Is a family owned business that sells authentic Mexican lunch to go and groceries. If you're looking to grab some food and enjoy a casual lunch in the park a block away, the food is delicious and the service is great! -Fiona
HiLo (Catskill)
A great cafe to grab a drink, quick snack or pastry. My summertime favorite is an iced Dirty-Chai Latte with oat milk. Whatever your taste, you can find something to please everyone... gluten-free options too. -Brian
For shops close to us:
Nina Z
Just a block away from the MINNA storefront, Nina Z is a vintage clothes shop and clog brand. I have found many special items here. I highly recommend popping in and checking out their one of a kind assortment. -Fiona
The Antique Warehouse
This is the number one spot I recommend to people because the space is so vast, it's almost impossible to leave empty handed. -Cate
The Quiet Botanist
A one-stop shop for the perfect self-care gift. Plenty of dried flowers in curated bouquets and you can also get singles of whatever strikes your fancy! This is also a must-visit if you are a lover of baths, there are plenty of soaks and candles to choose from. -Sam
Hikes and activities:
Dutch Heritage Farming Trail (Kinderhook)
This is one of my favorite spots for a longer hike. Go through rambles, find yourself in grassy fields, walk thorugh an active farm (complete with cows and pigs!), and then traverse a tiny creek to view a beautiful landscape complete with the Catskill Mountains in the distance. -Sam
Olana
For architecture, landscaping and/or art history nerds, it is essential to make a stop at Olana, the Hudson River School painter Frederic Church's gorgeous, sprawling estate. I highly recommend the guided tour of the grounds (ask for Ricky)! -Rhonda
Farm stands:
Greig Farm
Depending on the month you visit, they have a great selection of pick-your-own fruits + vegetables. after picking all the fruit/vegetables your heart desires, head over farm market + cafe for fresh, handmade, apple cider donuts and don't leave before saying hi to the pygmy goats! -Cate
Montgomery Orchards Farmstand
This spot has delicious produce. I go here for amazing mushrooms and potatoes (once you've had quality potatoes, you understand). And in the fall, it's the place for incredible, unique varieties of apples. -Chrissy
