Retail Manager

MINNA is looking for a Retail Manager to join our team. We're looking for a detail-oriented leader to manage our storefront and online retail. The ideal candidate has strong interpersonal skills, loves keeping things organized and is energized by tackling complex operational opportunities. We believe that the storefront is a direct representation of MINNA as a brand, and we are looking for someone who wants to be an integral part of our brand’s growth.

This is a paid full-time position based in Hudson, NY. Weekend availability required.

Responsibilities Include:

Brand Knowledge

  • Becoming an expert on all of our products for customers and other sales associates and staying up-to-date on new product and collection launches
  • Ensuring MINNA brand and mission are being represented constantly throughout the store
  • Being a brand ambassador. Consistently representing the MINNA brand and values at all times

Customer Service

  • Representing the brand and offering informative customer interactions
  • Building genuine, lasting relationships with customers via quality interpersonal interactions
  • Ensuring an elevated level of sales and services is practiced by all team members
  • Serving as point of contact for all online retail related customer service inquiries
  • Working directly with the Head of Operations and Shipping Coordinator to ensure customers are met with the highest level of customer service 

Storefront

  • Ensuring the storefront is always in presentable order - clean, tidy, organized, and dusted regularly
  • Collaborating with Creative Director to set store standards for visual merchandising and manage regular adjustments to product assortment and displays
  • Developing an events calendar and hosting events to foster an inclusive community-oriented store environment
  • Recruiting, hiring, and training retail associates
  • Supporting new retail location projects, as needed

Operations

  • Ensuring operational excellence in all policies and procedures. Developing and training on new processes, as needed
  • Constantly researching, identifying, and implementing best practices for managing a retail space
  • Special projects, as needed

Sales Goals

  • Driving store productivity and profitability
  • Overseeing key tasks, including: daily/weekly/quarterly/yearly sales reporting, creating and enforcing open/close policies, processing and receiving inventory transfers, managing our POS system, organizing the stockroom, and managing vendors
  • Developing a buying strategy and following a budget to keep store inventory fresh
  • Monitoring, tracking, and communicating trends and opportunities of key business metrics
  • Developing strategies and action plans to improve storefront profitability

E-commerce

  • Ensuring storefront products listed online are up-to-date and in-stock
  • Photographing and updating all new product additions to the website
  • Working alongside Marketing Manager to assist in creating marketing strategies relevant to our retail streams - including but not limited to social media
Qualifications:
  • 2+ years managing retail
  • Strong computer skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Experience with Shopify
  • Experience with Illustrator, Photoshop, Adobe a plus
  • Ability to motivate others
  • Skilled at mediating and negotiating to resolve conflict
  • Knows how to have fun and boost positive vibes
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
  • Ability to wear a lot of hats
  • Interest in the arts, home decor, textiles, and ethically made goods

Retail Associate

MINNA is looking for a part-time retail associate to join our tight-knit team. We are searching for a friendly, outgoing, driven person with an interest in home decor, textiles, and ethically made goods. We believe that the storefront is a direct representation of MINNA as a brand, and we are looking for someone who believes in our mission and wants to tell the world about our products. We hope team members will grow within the company.

This is a paid part-time position based in Hudson, NY. Weekend availability required.

Responsibilities include:
  • Greeting and making customers feel welcome in the store
  • Becoming an expert on our brand and all of our products to be a resource for customers
  • Ensuring the MINNA brand and mission are being represented constantly throughout the store
  • Executing sales with customers
  • Delivering outstanding customer service
  • Working with the Retail Manager to meet daily/weekly/quarterly/yearly sales goals
  • Entering inventory into a POS system and keeping inventory organized and accessible
  • Ensuring the storefront is always in presentable order - clean, tidy, organized, and dusted regularly
  • Assisting with daily administrative tasks and shipping

Multi-disciplinary Graphic Designer

MINNA is looking for a proactive and creative Graphic Designer to join our design team with a background in both print and digital. Experience with textile design and product design a plus.

The position will be 2-3 days a week in our Hudson Studio and will ideally lead to a full-time opportunity.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Design branded marketing and advertising collateral for seasonal and sale campaigns, including, but not limited to, emails, flyers, print & digital advertising, catalogs, promotional print materials, branding/packaging materials, posters, and social media assets.
  • Create and implement design solutions that meet brand strategies.
  • Manage multiple projects and within established deadlines and guidelines.
  • Assist in the production of technical specifications for product design.
  • Assist in the conception of product design and product design direction.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent with a focus in Graphic Design
  • 2+ years of experience in the field of Graphic Design/Communications
  • Expert understanding of graphic design, layout and typography
  • Must have knowledge of printing procedures and responsive digital design
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience managing fast-paced projects
  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite. Especially InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel

Design & Marketing Intern

Work alongside Creative Director and Marketing Manager to plan and execute design and marketing initiatives. 

Responsibilities include:
  • Assisting with planning marketing initiatives.
  • Assisting with content planning.
  • Assisting with e-mail design and marketing outreach.
  • Assisting with customers in the retail store & executing sales.
    Qualifications:
    • Strong written and verbal communications skills.
    • Very organized and detail-oriented.
    • Strong Photoshop, Indesign, and Illustrator skills. 
    • Strong understanding of Graphic Design and Typography.
    • An interest in textiles and product design.
    • Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize and multi-task.
    • Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve independently.
    • Currently a college student or recent graduate (Graphic Design, Communications major, or relevant)
    • Located in the Hudson Valley
    • Available to work at least 2 days per week for a minimum of 3 months.
    • Experience with MS Excel a plus. 
    • Spanish speaker a plus.
