Cotton Pedal Loom Weavers - Nahualá
About an hour drive from Lake Atitlán through bumpy, winding roads is a family run cooperative that weaves many of our napkins, towels, and beach towels. Their handcrafted pedal looms are spread throughout their home and the rest of the village. They use 100% cotton dyed with sustainable, non-toxic colors.

We’ve been working with this family for about four years on a number of simple, striped patterns. They also specialize in ikat dyeing where colors and patterns are first painted onto the warps before being attached to the loom.
