In the central highlands of Guatemala, we've partnered with a group of women in the town of Cobán. Since the climate here is quite warm, the weavers specialize in making lightweight gauzy fabric on backstrap looms.

The textiles appear to be almost embroidered but are actually the result of a delicate technique called 'pic bil' that requires very fine threads and a controlled hand.
