Our favorite Steps Mat now comes in a cream colorway. The soft, neutral shade is versatile for any space. The handwoven cotton mats have a looped weave, creating a cozy texture for stepping and standing - perfect for use as a bath mat or in front of the kitchen sink. These mats are handwoven by an artisan group in Antigua, Guatemala from 100% natural native color cotton.

Just on the outskirts of Antigua, Guatemala is a small cooperative we work with to make our cotton rugs. They are skilled in creating unique textures and specialize in using 100% organic naturally occurring colored cottons.

About these artisans

This group of weavers specializes in pedal weaving to create experimental textures. The cotton they use is grown in Guatemala and naturally comes in white and peach colors. The dark navy and black colors in our cotton rugs come from up-cycled denim threads.
