Product Story

Inspired by gridlines on a map and the color of birds, handwoven 100% cotton napkins feature a rosy, lavender window pane plaid with striped peach edging. Add a pop of color for everyday dining, or layer for special occasions.

Sustainable design: Napkins are woven on the pedal loom to the finished measurements, so that no waste material is created. Durable, natural material is made to last ~ and we think it gets even better over time.

Made by Pedal Loom Weavers in Larráinzar, Mexico

In Larráinzar we work with two family-run cooperatives of weavers. The first workshop we began working with is one of the largest we’ve ever seen in Mexico with roughly 20-30 operating looms and employing many weavers in the region. Looking out at the mountains below, the view from atop the workshop is one of our favorites.

About these artisans

Both workshops use pedal looms and 100% cotton threads. By partnering with a second workshop in Llarráinzar, we have been able to expand our production capacity and employ additional weavers in the community.
