Product Story
The Remnant Rugs have been years in the making. As a textile business, we believe in doing our part to minimize the waste we produce. Since we started making cut-and-sew styles in Chiapas, Mexico (think oven mitts, potholders, bedding, etc.) we’ve been saving all of our cuttings and scraps to re-envision into new products.
Sustainability practices such as weaving using textile waste is a resourceful design technique practiced by marginalized communities globally for generations. Honoring this history, we worked in close collaboration with our artisan partners to create a collection of one-of-a-kind rugs, each featuring a unique colorway. A remnant of surprise, per se.
