A MINNA guide to cozying up your home

A MINNA guide to cozying up your home

Today we are showing you how to create the perfect cozy atmosphere in every room of your house with the help of Cate, our Retail Manager.

There’s something about cooking in the Fall time that is far superior to any other season. Sure, there’s less local produce to choose from if you’re in the Hudson Valley like us, but you can bring warm, nourishing favorites like roasted veggies and hearty soup back in your weekly rotation. If you’re in a bit of a recipe rut–pick up one of our favorite cookbooks. Jubilee by Toni Tipton-Martin is a team favorite, especially this time of year.

A new season also means new textiles! A fresh tea towel in the kitchen, like our new Meridian Tea Towel in the color raven, is an inexpensive way to add a seasonal color to your space.

Dining Room

The holidays are just around the corner, which for some means preparing to host friends and family. Offering to host can mean sweet gifts from your gracious guests. Wine and other beverages tend to be a common host gift, so why not prepare for the occasion with some extra special new glassware?

Lightweight yet durable, these glasses from R+D Lab are a staple for hosting dinner parties and upcoming holiday events. The neutral shades of glass make for a timeless collection you’ll be able to use for many holidays to come.

Living Room

Let’s face it, this is probably the room your guests will be seeing the most of whether it be for a movie night or catch up session. Adding a cozy rug, pillows, and throws will make your living room the ultimate hang out spot. Bonus points if your furry friend matches the color scheme as well as MINNA pup Soba does here!

The Agnes Rug in Rust is one of our most beloved styles, especially in larger sizes. Durable and reversible this flatweave wool rug is cozy enough to warm up your space and survive the occasional wine spill. For more tips on finding the perfect rug for your space, check out our guide on the journal.

Nothing makes you want to snuggle up in bed more than a good collection of pillows. Daylight savings is just around the corner, which means we’ll probably be spending more time in bed than we’d like to admit. As we prepare for shorter, colder days ahead, we might as well make our bed the coziest spot in the house by filling it with a plethora of our favorite pillows.

When building a pillow pile, the key is to get a good mix of size, material, and color. The color palette for this combination is a nice neutral with a pop of indigo. We mixed some of our favorite cotton pillows woven on backtrack looms like the Pantelho Pillow in cerulean, with wool pillows like our Patchwork Pillow in Sky and the Shadow Pillow in Indigo.

There’s nothing better than slipping on a fresh robe right after a relaxing bath or shower. Our Everyday Robe is a nice, lightweight option especially for our friends in warmer climates. Our robe is a breathable, lightweight cotton that won’t leave you feeling weighed down as you dry off.

Our neutral Everyday Robe pairs perfectly with our Everyday Bath towel collection. All three towel sizes are made with bouclé, GOTS-certified organic cotton, and grown, spun, and handwoven in Peru.
